Diagnosis:

GOFAR should automatically connect to your phone each time you take a trip. If this doesn't happen then you may notice that trips are not showing up in the GOFAR App.

Don't worry - trips should still be logged on the GOFAR device and once you reconnect, they will move across to your phone.


Cause: 

The most common reasons for GOFAR not connecting are:

  • if the GOFAR App has been closed (either by you or by the phone operating system if battery is low or depleted)
  • if Bluetooth is turned off on your phone.


The GOFAR Adapter is usually able to wake up the GOFAR App immediately when you start the vehicle, or within the first minute of a trip.  

If you're having difficulties with GOFAR connecting to your phone the steps below should help.

Solution: 


1. Check the GOFAR app is open and runnning.  


2. Turn your phone's Bluetooth off and back on again.


3. Turn your phone off and back on again, and then re-open the GOFAR App.

Type of car.

Type of phone.

The email address you used to set up your GOFAR account.

And the nature of the problem with the details of the steps you tried.
