Your trip data is originally stored on the GOFAR device.

Then they jump across to your phone via a Bluetooth Low Energy connection.

  

If Bluetooth is not running the trips stay on the GOFAR device until it next detects the GOFAR phone app.  


The GOFAR phone app then stores your data in the cloud.  This keeps the app smaller and allows you to conveniently access your data from any mobile - very handy when you need to replace your old phone.


Data is stored locally and hosted securely on AWS.
